SV TECH / ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION

Continuous ground power and onboard redundancy

A tethered mission keeps the primary energy source on the ground and supplies the aircraft through a cable. Onboard backup power supports controlled response to a supply interruption. Extended airborne operation must be validated for the complete configuration.

SV Tech’s technical material describes redundant high/low-voltage supply and an onboard emergency-power system, addressing continuous supply and abnormal-condition response respectively. Stepping up power from a ground battery is a configurable supply path; it does not imply that any battery or inverter can be connected directly.

Review ground input, airborne voltage, peak and continuous power, cable losses and backup capacity together. The T30/W30 operating document specifies DC 500 V. Other voltage classes described for the technology platform do not automatically apply to that model.

Commissioning records should identify payload, deployed cable length, ambient temperature, ground source and protective actions. Confirm backup purpose and duration against the delivered procedure; emergency-power capability is not additional routine mission endurance.
