Overview

A36 Low-voltage brushless motor

Select A36 around its 45-70 V DC supply range, 65 A rated current and 2750 g ±10 g motor mass. The source test table shows how thrust changes with input power and supports an initial operating-point assessment. Maximum current and peak thrust do not establish continuous-duty capability.

Final configuration depends on operating conditions and the agreed specification.

Selection and application guide

Design and application value

Propulsion performance depends on the motor, ESC, propeller and power supply working together. Changing the propeller changes current, thrust and temperature rise. Start with the test table for the intended propeller and supply, then validate the operating point in the complete system.

Choosing the right configuration

Define take-off mass, rotor count, hover thrust, peak mission load and supply range before selecting a motor. Allow current and thermal headroom and check the shaft, mounting pattern, propeller hub and wiring. Do not treat maximum tabulated thrust as sustained hover capability.

Installation and integration

Isolate power and confirm safe discharge before wiring. Check rotation without a propeller; to reverse it, isolate power again and exchange any two phase leads. With the propeller fitted, increase load gradually in a controlled test area and record voltage, current, speed, thrust, vibration and temperature; inspect fasteners.

Operation and maintenance

Stop for abnormal noise, vibration, overheating or binding. Never carry the motor by its leads or shaft; inspect insulation and bearings after a drop. The documentation requires bearing temperature below 100 °C in the worst case. Service life up to 5000 hours remains dependent on load, temperature, installation and maintenance.
